The POLWAX Approach

POLWAX combines four types of instrument, so each storage unit or shipment gets the level of monitoring it needs.

Standalone USB logging

Set interval, start mode and alarm limits in the Polwax Config web application.

The logger records in the fridge, freezer or shipment; LED shows green (OK) or red (alarm).

Plug the logger into a computer USB port.

Frequently asked questions
Which logger suits an ultra-low temperature freezer?
The PTE90 has an external probe that measures from −90 °C to 70 °C, and the PTE50 from −50 °C to 70 °C. For continuous connected monitoring, CLIMA T models use an external Pt100 sensor with a range of −100 to 400 °C.
How do we receive alarms when we are not on site?
CLIMA WiFi, GSM and Ethernet dataloggers can be used with the optional CloudDASH360 dashboard. It supports an upper and a lower threshold per variable, with configurable hysteresis and delay, and sends alarms on the dashboard, by SMS and by email.
Do the USB loggers need special software to read the data?
PTRANS loggers produce their report when plugged into a USB port, without additional software. PTD50 / PRH50 and PTE50 / PTE90 loggers generate PDF and/or CSV reports automatically over USB. Settings are made in the Polwax Config web application.
When should we choose single-use or reusable loggers?
PTRANS single-use loggers are designed for one-way shipments. PTD50 / PRH50 and PTE50 / PTE90 are multi-use loggers with a replaceable CR2450 battery, suited to repeated use in storage and transport.
Which products also measure humidity?
CLIMA TH models, the PRH50, the PTRANS-RH20 and the ClimaTRANS RHT100 measure both temperature and relative humidity.
Are certificates supplied with the instruments?
According to the POLWAX product pages, CLIMA dataloggers and the RHT100 are supplied with a calibration certificate, and PTD50 / PRH50, PTE50 / PTE90 and PTRANS loggers with a test certificate.
